How is Tabor Design Build different

from everybody else?

Our Mission:

  • To transform peoples lives for the better through remodeling.
  • To constantly improve ourselves and everything we touch.

At Tabor Design Build we take pride in providing value to our clients through unique creative design, top quality craftsmanship, and superior professional service.  We design, remodel and build custom additions and other remodeling projects that address each client’s individual needs.

Commitment:

As we are a small company, your project is always an important job for us.  Our founder, John Tabor, has kept our company small so that he may personally manage all of our projects very closely from start to finish, with old fashioned customer service.  As the majority of our work comes from referrals, we realize Tabor Design Build's future depends on exceeding our client's expectations and conducting all business with honesty and absolute integrity.  We are not happy unless you are happy.

Accountability:

TDB is responsible and takes accountability for your entire project from design to final clean up.

Tight Scheduling:

We believe that careful planning and tight scheduling are the keys to making sure your project runs smoothly with minimal disruption to your family.  Our scheduling allows us to finish projects much faster than our industry standard.  Some companies spend a year on projects that we can easily finish in two months with proper planning.  We provide you with a copy of the production schedule in calendar format, to show you what will happen and who will be doing what every day.  This greatly reduces everyone's stress level by knowing what you can expect to happen every day.

Attention to Detail:

Our construction agreement lists every material and fixture that will be installed on your project.  Every finish is specified.  We option out as many items as possible to help you control the final price.  Our typical construction agreement for an addition is at least twelve pages long.  Ask us for  a sample, we'll be glad to share it with you.  Our construction agreement has a list titled "This agreement does not include:" in bold print.  This list includes every item that we may have discussed during design meetings that you ultimately decided not to include in your project.  We find that all of this work prevents misunderstandings, and puts everyone's mind at ease, knowing what will happen and what won't happen.  Our warranty is so comprehensive, it is thirty-six pages long.

Innovative Management:

At the beginning of your project, we will introduce you to one of our employees, the NARI certified lead carpenter, who will be responsible for managing your project from start to finish.  He will be there over 95% of the time, with a helper and other carpenters, as necessary.  He will coordinate the work of our trade contractors, such as plumbers, electricians and roofers.  A production manager directly assists him in making sure everything goes smoothly.

Employee Education:

At Tabor Design Build, we believe strongly in continuing education.  Our experienced carpenters have received extensive training and are certified by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) as Certified Lead Carpenters.  We strive to provide an environment for our employees to constantly improve themselves, allowing them the opportunity to excel.

We donate office space to hold NARI Certified Remodeler classes.
