Over a dozen inspections down and just two more to go.  Things are moving along nicely.  John’s three-story addition passed its most recent inspection just last week.  The “close-in” inspection checks to make sure structural framing, plumbing, gas, HVAC and electrical components of the project are all up to code.  With this inspection behind them, the Tabor team can move forward with the next phase of the project; Insulation.

Insulation started this week at the addition.  John continues to incorporate ‘green’ processes and technologies into his project by using a combination of foam and fiber-glass materials for this phase.  This effort makes the space more energy efficient and it will be easier to regulate and maintain a comfortable temperature in the addition.

After insulation is complete, the team will begin to drywall and trim the inside of the addition.  Before painting, John plans to shift the focus of the project to the floor in pool and hot tub area, where Indian Gold slate will be laid.  I’ve seen the floor tiles and they are unique and absolutely beautiful. Once this phase is complete I will be sure to share pictures with you!

The completion day is so close! I am very excited to see what the addition looks like when it is finished.
