Remodeling With Empathy

I spend a great deal of time trying to understand my clients.  What is important to them?  How do they rationalize, strategize and ultimately make decisions about remodeling?  What reasons serve as roadblocks in the space between conception and completion?  I seek this information in order to better equip myself to provide my clients with a remodeling experience that is both enjoyable and stress-free.

Last March I made the decision to remodel my home and build a very complex three-story addition.  With a vision, apprehension, mounting doubts and uncertainty, I find myself in the position of homeowner/client.  Now it is I who face a huge decision with all the consequences, frustrations, expectations and sacrifice pointing directly at me.

It has been 6 or 7 years since I’ve built an addition to one of my own houses, while we are living in it.  I am remembering again what my clients go through.  I’m learning how they feel and the things they agonize over.  I will ride the ups and downs of my own project and will be better able to empathize with the homeowners who come to us for help.  This is my chance to practice what I preach; stress-free remodeling.  We will document every phase, decision, and emotion that helps build this project.  Through this project, Tabor Design Build will become a better asset to those trusting us with their valuable private spaces.

Follow us on this journey for weekly updates, with 3D imagery and photos.  Stay tuned to experience the transformation!
