When you read the title of this post, you may have thought the subject matter of our blog had changed. Instead of updates about the Tabor addition, you had somehow stumbled upon a site showcasing recently released horror films. Rest assured you are in the right place, and this is another exciting update from John’s project.
Most people see drywall and paint when they look at the walls of a space. I on the other hand, in addition to the paint and drywall, see framing, insulation, plumbing and pipes. A great deal of the plumbing was completed this week and the pipes have been set. The quick work our team performs is also of high quality, as we passed the plumbing inspection with flying colors. I was really excited about the progress when John brought in photos of the bath tub being set. Nothing is more illustrative of a stress-free experience than a relaxing bath tub; symbolism at work.
There was equally as much progress outside of the addition. Backfill is almost complete. The geothermal lines have been piped down 473 feet, through a trench dug from the wells bottom to the basement, and finally into the HVAC system. It is quite fascinating how much pipe it took to go that great distance; all of these things going on behind the walls and underneath the Tabor addition.
I am glad most of the plumbing is set, because soon the team will need water to fill the endless pool being put into the lower level of the addition. Stay tuned for details on that process.
