This Darnestown home had a two story great room. The room was cold in the winter, with all the heat up at the ceiling. When watching TV, the sound went all over the house. We replaced and moved some of the windows and raised the ceiling so we could add another floor in between to create two rooms – a cozy living room with a coffered ceiling, and an upstairs office with built-in bookcases.
