This Washington, DC home underwent a thoughtful transformation with a second-story addition and several key interior updates designed to enhance both function and flow. The homeowners hoped to expand their primary bedroom to include a well-appointed primary bathroom and a more efficient closet layout. To bring that vision to life, we extended the home above the existing front office. On the exterior, we removed the original dormer and created symmetry with the right side of the house, resulting in an addition that blends seamlessly with the home’s architecture. Inside, the new primary suite offers the extra space and improved layout the homeowners were seeking. On the first floor, the office received its own upgrade, complete with enhanced insulation, gorgeous new windows, and radiant heating for added comfort throughout the year.
This project highlights thoughtful design, careful craftsmanship, and a commitment to creating spaces that feel both cohesive and elevated.
